Guten Tag Sweet Friends!

Today, I breathed a sigh of relief. I am at a point now that I can relax and start to anticipate my upcoming trips. I have done all the research and planning I can do for now. I know I haven’t thought of everything, but that’s OK; I have covered the major stuff – transportation, transfers, hotels, major sites to see, tours, oh my!

Tomorrow morning I leave for Munich where I will meet up with Doc, and we are going to Dachau Concentration Camp outside the city. I’ve been before – 30 years ago – and I’m looking forward to going again. It’s sobering,  yes, but oh so meaningful. I love it when my life is put into perspective, and Dachau offers a big whopping dose of perspective kids.

We are also going to the BMW Museum (he is a big car buff) and the science and transportation museum, among other places. Since neither one of drinks beer, I doubt we’ll go to any beer houses, not even the ever popular Haufbrauhaus. I know, buzz kill. But, there are many places to see besides beer houses! And we can’t miss the famous Munich glockenspiel!

I return to Koln on Monday and my son comes on Tuesday morning and we start our whirlwind tour of Germany, Greece and Rome. We are taking a cruise out of Athens, sailing through the Greek Islands with stops in Santorini, Bodrum Turkey, Olympia, Naples and finally Rome. We will spend a few days in Rome and then return to Germany to do some touring here. We may do a river cruise or we may go to Berlin. I’m kind of leaving that open for now. So excited about seeing him!!!! I love my child more than anything on this planet and no one can make me laugh like he does. My face hurts from laughing so much. Ty and Rickey Lee are the only two people who make me laugh like that. So looking forward to seeing him!

I hope your day is full of laughter and people you love. Take care sweet friends!!
