After our Norway excursion, we spent the weekend in Copenhagen. It’s a beautiful city with tons of museums and walking paths along the river. The downtown has several pedestrian shopping streets full of shops and cafes where we found the most amazing hot chocolate!!!

We also crossed the river to Christiania, the hippie squat town left over from the 60’s. The land/town is now officially “owned and operated” by the Christiania Foundation so they are not squatters any longer. Christiania is full of shacks, street art, organic cafes and coffee shops, art houses and music venues. It also has a ‘green light’ district where hash is sold and smoked. It’s not legal like in Amsterdam, but it’s largely ignored. No pictures there though!
