Drive from Koln to Trier along the Mosel River with stops at Burg Elz, Cochem, Burg Arras, Traben-Trarbach, and Trier. Doc and I rented a car in Koln and drove to Koblenz where the Mosel river connects with the Rhine river. We followed the road along the winding Mosel and stopped at several castles and villages along the way. The Mosel Valley is the Napa Valley of Germany and it is home of the Riesling wines. There are literally thousands of vineyards through the valley lining the very steep slopes. It’s beautiful country. Enjoy the pix!
