The Vatican in Rome is quite simply over whelming. All the opulence, the grandeur and the hugeness of everything is over the top. It’s amazing but I sure can think of a much better use for all that church money. Jez sayin. We booked a tour of the Sistine Chapel before it opened to the public so we got in before the huge crowds of people (7:30 AM) and I’m happy we did. More than 10000 people a day tour the Vatican and its Sistine Chapel and the people are butt to nut. It’s crazy! After seeing the beautiful chapel we went back through the museum to see the Raphael rooms, which are equally stunning and magnificent. Then we moved on to St. Peter’s Basilica which is mind blowing. The pictures don’t do the Vatican justice.
