The past few weeks have been filled with familiar faces and places. Seeing all my friends and family as well as the wonderful improvements to the city has been uplifting! Seeing children of friends’ who are now “all growed up” (the kids, certainly not my friends!) has been especially joyous. Today is my last day in Memphis. How perfect that I spent part of the day with a friend at the Dali exhibit. Meandering through Dali’s lithographs from Alice in Wonderland, Don Quixote and other works lured me to ponder how surrealistic my own life adventures are. Like Alice, I went down the rabbit hole in Memphis and it quite nearly killed me. I had to get away from my booze-infused tea parties, so I dug myself out of the rabbit hole (with lots of support from friends) and moved to Hawaii. It was there that I faced some of my demons, learned to be alone (something I was most definitely not used to) and realized that well-being is not just a good report from the doctor. Not unlike Don Quixote, I took up arms to right wrongs and save  the lives of the downtrodden. I exaggerate of course but I was on a mission to spread love, joy and well-being across the island .

Now, I’m changing my story once again and moving to the land of castles, dragons, mountains and folk lore. That’s the fantasy in my head anyway. But whatever lies ahead it will be life-changing and beautiful. So, I’m ready to get going, ready to move forward, ready to roll!! Expect lots of pix and posts from my new adventures and hopefully no rabbit holes! 🙂
